UNIPORT student has caused a stir online with final-year project

A student of the University Of Port Harcourt [UNIPORT] has caused a stir online with ‘Womanising And Ashawoism’  research as a final-year project

The unidentified student picked the topic, “Prevalence And Pattern Of Womanizing And Ashawoism Among Undergraduate Male Students Of Medicine And Surgery/Dentistry (MBBS/BDS) Department In The University Of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

A Twitter user @KelvinOssai shared s screenshot of the project’s back cover on Social media.

Reacting to the news, some Nigerians had these to say:

Jimoh Lateef wrote: The topic should have been broad in scope rather than narrowing it to a section of students. It is a societal ill that requires more empirical analysis and findings and should be wider in scope. The supervisor should help reshape the topic.

Ochyii Jenny wrote: It’s actually a topic of discussion. The problem here is the choice of words ‘ashawoism’ made the whole thing sound irrelevant and informal….. An experienced supervisor would help to rephrase it….

Olutunji Timothy wrote: This is a very good topic and research works, better than the thousands of copy and pastes abstract projects.

Uchechi Raymond Ekpe wrote: She won’t get a statistically significant result.. she should have chosen another gender as target and a department in the faculty of art.
