This post will go through how to upload result on JAMB Portal or portal for Direct Entry and UTME admissions.

How to Upload Result on JAMB Portal: Are you looking for a tutorial on how to upload your o’level results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, and so on) to the JAMB portal/ Profile for admission processing? If you answered yes, you’ve arrived at the right place.

We’ve been getting a lot of enquiries from UTME and Direct Entry applicants who used awaiting results while registering about how they can post their O’level results once they get them.

No candidate with a pending O’level (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB) result would be allowed into any higher institution in Nigeria, according to Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) rules.

Before you can be considered for admission by any school (University, Polytechnics, or Colleges of Education), you must first have sat for either WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, and the only confirmation the school can get is that you have written these exams is your ability to provide the results when required.

As a result, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board – JAMB established a conduit for students to upload their O’level results during Jamb registration.

Candidates must upload their WAEC and NECO results to the JAMB website. You would be unable to acquire admission through the JAMB CAPS system if you do not upload your O’level results.

How to Upload Result on JAMB Portal 2023

There are two ways to upload your O’level results to the JAMB portal:

  • During the JAMB registration process
  • Following the JAMB exams

Note: Students who have their WAEC or NECO results can upload them to the JAMB portal throughout the enrollment process.

Other students who took the WAEC/NECO/NABTEB exams will be required to upload their results after the O’level results were revealed.

The procedure for verifying and uploading your O’level results on JAMB CAPS is outlined below.

How to Upload Result on JAMB Portal

  • First, validate your O’level submission by completing the steps below:
  • Access your JAMB profile through their official website.
  • Click ‘Check Admission Status,’ then ‘Access my CAPS.’

How To Upload O’level (Waec or Neco) To Jamb

For the time being, uploading of O’level results can only be done at Jamb Approved CBT facilities, therefore just as you cannot register for Jamb on your own, you cannot upload O’level results without the help of JAMB accredited CBT registration centres.

This also means that you cannot upload your results at any cyber-café that is not approved by Jamb; they must be uploaded at an approved CBT centre or Jamb office.

You must complete the following to upload your O’level results:

  • First, Scan the O’level result that you want to upload, whether Waec, Neco, or Nabteb.
  • Depending on the Centre where the upload is performed, you will be requested to pay a pittance of around 1000 Naira.
  • Wait for 24 hours for the uploaded result to appear on your Jamb Caps.

How Long Does It Take For An O’Level Result To Be Reflected In Jamb?

It usually takes 24 hours for the Jamb result you uploaded to appear on your Jamb CAPS portal.

To see if your O’level results have been posted, click on ‘My O’level result.’

If you have not yet uploaded your result after verification, go to any locally approved JAMB CBT centre or JAMB office to do so. Candidates whose O’level status in CAPS is ‘Awaiting Result’ will not be admitted.

Good luck!
